Who publishes OdoTrail

OdoTrail is published by Yurii Koshkin in Spain. For questions about this policy or personal data handled through the app and site, contact support@odotrail.app.

Trips and reports are local

Trip entries, vehicle details, review choices, generated report snapshots, CSV/PDF exports and backup files are created on your device. OdoTrail does not require an account or operate a remote trip database. Export and sharing happen only when you explicitly choose an operating-system destination. You control the files you export and any copies you later store elsewhere.

Location access is explicit

Manual entry works without location access. If you explicitly start a recording session and grant the relevant iOS permission, the app may receive device location through Core Location. Depending on your permission and the enabled session, iOS may show a location indicator or allow the session to continue in the background. OdoTrail does not claim to detect every trip automatically. A session may be incomplete; review it before confirming a trip.

Location samples and derived route distances used by the app remain in local app storage unless you choose to include them in an export or share. OdoTrail does not send routes, addresses, trip text, vehicle names or precise coordinates to a product analytics service.

Limited app analytics

OdoTrail uses TelemetryDeck to understand app use and improve the product. Limited events are enabled by default in the App Store build: opening the app, onboarding progress, completion of core actions, paywall exposure, and purchase or restore outcomes. Events may include the app version, purchase-plan category, and an app-specific experiment assignment. They do not contain routes, precise location, trip content, addresses, distances, amounts, filenames, receipts, transaction identifiers or raw error messages. TelemetryDeck uses a salted, hashed app-specific identifier to count repeat use; no account, advertising identifier or cross-app advertising profile is supplied.

You can disable this sharing in Settings → Privacy. An existing refusal is preserved. Disabling stops new events and discards queued events on the device; enabling again takes effect after reopening the app. Development and simulator traffic is excluded and TestFlight events are marked as test data. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses and processes analytics in the European Union. Retention and anonymization details are described in its privacy FAQ; we do not promise a fixed retention period for already delivered aggregate events.

The website has no cookies, advertising pixels or analytics. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request/security logs to host and protect this site, even though the site does not use analytics.

App Store transactions

Apple handles payment for monthly and annual subscriptions and the one-time lifetime purchase, and provides transaction and entitlement status to the app. OdoTrail does not receive your payment-card details. Limited purchase-plan and outcome events may be included in the analytics described above; receipts and transaction identifiers are not sent to TelemetryDeck. Apple’s own privacy terms apply to its store and payment processing.

Backups, reports and other apps

OdoTrail can create local CSV, PDF and JSON backup artifacts for an explicit user action. Once sent to Files, Mail, Messages or another destination, the receiving service’s own privacy terms apply. Do not put sensitive trip information into a support email unless necessary.

Retention and deletion

Records remain in local app storage until you edit, delete or purge them. Exported files and backups are separate copies and are not removed when you delete an in-app trip. Review your Files, cloud-drive or message destinations if you want those copies removed too.

Support email

If you email support, your chosen mail app and email provider handle the message, and Cloudflare may forward mail for the support address. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to answer your request and meet legal or security obligations. Please redact addresses, registration details and route history unless support needs a minimal diagnostic detail.

OdoTrail is a general record-keeping utility and is not directed at children. For a privacy question or request, email support@odotrail.app.
